In a world that often reshapes truth to fit personal desires, many believers quietly slip into a dangerous habit—rewording Scripture just enough to make sin feel more comfortable. It happens subtly. A verse is softened here, a hard teaching is brushed aside there, and soon the Word of God becomes a mirror bent to reflect our preferences rather than His holiness. But Scripture warns us that even half-truths can lead to whole destruction, for “Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14, NKJV). His deception rarely comes through bold rebellion; more often, it comes through gentle compromise.
In Soul Adoption: Each One, Reach One, the message is clear—true transformation happens only when we anchor our lives to the unchanging truth of God’s Word. When we try to adjust the Bible to match our feelings or circumstances, we step out of the safety of God’s covering and into confusion. Proverbs 30:5–6 reminds us, “Every word of God is pure… Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar” (NKJV). The moment we reshape Scripture to justify our choices, we open the door for the enemy to whisper familiarity into sin and comfort into compromise.
The enemy is a master of almost-right. From the Garden of Eden to the temptations in the wilderness, Satan has always used partial truth as his most powerful weapon. He doesn’t need a believer to deny God—he only needs them to alter His words slightly. Jesus Himself fought back with the purity of Scripture, refusing to twist or soften the Father’s commands. His example reminds us that victory does not come through our reasoning but through unwavering obedience to what God has spoken.
But here is the hope: when we lift our eyes from confusion and fix them back on Jesus, everything changes. Hearts soften. Lies crumble. The fog of deception clears. Psalm 119:105 declares, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (NKJV). Light always exposes what darkness tries to disguise. When we allow God’s Word to guide us—unaltered, unsoftened, and unfiltered—our lives begin to align with His perfect design, and sin loses its appeal.
The message in my book is a powerful reminder that we are called to walk others into the light with gentleness and truth. Soul adoption happens not through judgment but through clarity—by helping others see Jesus as He truly is, not as the world tries to remake Him. When believers stand firmly on Scripture as it is written, they become steady beacons who draw wandering hearts back to truth.
We encourage one another by holding tight to what God says, even when it challenges us. We love people enough to point them toward the whole truth, not the edited version. And we trust that when eyes turn toward Jesus, mindsets shift, chains break, and hearts are renewed.
May we be people who hunger for truth more than comfort—people who choose Scripture over self and Christ over compromise. For when the Word stands unaltered in our lives, the enemy loses his power, and God’s light shines through us to reach the souls entrusted to our care.
