Welcome
Welcome
At Soul Adoption, we believe God often works through quiet moments, open hearts and quiet obedience. This ministry was born from a simple calling: each one, reach one. Not through perfection or performance, but through love-real, patient, Christ-centered love.
Life can be heavy. People carry wounds that aren't always visible, and many feel forgotten, overlooked, or spiritually weary. Here, we work to meet people where they are, offering encouragement rooted in Scripture and guided by the example of Jesus.
Mission Statement
Soul Adoption exists to reflect the love of Jesus by reaching one soul at a time. We believe God redeems our brokenness and transforms our mess into His message-using our pain, struggles, and stories to reveal His grace, mercy and restoring power. Through encouragement rooted in Scripture, compassionate presence, and intentional connection, we walk alongside individuals in every season of life to bring hope, restore joy, and share Christ's love in personal and meaningful ways. Our mission is to remind every heart that no story is wasted, and every soul is seen, valued and deeply loved by God.
There are moments when brokenness feels like it will define your story. Moments when grief, disappointment, fear, or uncertainty seem louder than hope.
But God is still writing your story.
Get Out of His Way: From Brokenness to Belonging is more than a book—it's an invitation to discover what happens when you stop carrying burdens you were never meant to bear and begin trusting God with every broken piece.
Within these pages, you'll find encouragement, biblical truth, and hope for anyone seeking healing, purpose, and a deeper relationship with Christ.
You may recognize parts of your own journey in these chapters. And by the final page, our prayer is that you'll see even more of His story unfolding through yours.

About the Author - Dr. Melinda Strickland
Dr. Melinda Strickland believes relationships change lives. Raised in Charleston, Tennessee, she learned early that true community is built through presence, service, and intentional investment in others — not just words.
With more than thirty-one years in education as a teacher, coach, and administrator in the Floyd County School System, she has dedicated her career to empowering students and strengthening families. She currently serves on the Floyd County Board of Education. Dr. Strickland holds degrees from Cleveland State Community College (A.S.), Berry College (B.S.), the University of West Georgia (M.Ed.), Jacksonville State University (Ed.S.), and Nova Southeastern University (Ed.D.). She has presented at conferences nationwide and served as past president of the Georgia Association for Alternative Education. She is also the author of More Than A Test Score: Strategies for Empowering Youth at Risk.
Through Soul Adoption: Each One, Reach One, she shares her deepest calling — relational ministry. She believes lives are transformed not by religious rhetoric, but by authentic relationships rooted in service, compassion, and grace. Whether in education, ministry, or community leadership, her mission remains the same: to help others experience Christ’s love through action.
Melinda and her husband, Tim, are blessed with four children and six grandchildren. Her prayer is simple — that every life she touches feels the love of Christ not only spoken, but lived.
